Linda & Kevin | A Three-Day Luxury Destination Wedding in Cuixmala, Mexico

Luxury wedding ceremony at Casa Cuixmala Mexico

There are weddings… and then there are full-sensory experiences.

For Linda and Kevin, Cuixmala was not just the venue — it became the stage for a three-day celebration where architecture, nature, gastronomy and emotion blended seamlessly.

Nestled on the Pacific coast of Jalisco, Cuixmala feels like a private kingdom. Iconic domes, terracotta tones, endless ocean views, and wild bougainvillea framing every corner. It is intimate yet grand, curated yet untamed — the perfect canvas for a luxury destination wedding in Mexico

Day 1: A Mexican Night Under the Caballerizas

The celebration began at Las Caballerizas with a vibrant Mexican Night. Guests were welcomed with handcrafted margaritas and a colorful buffet-style Mexican fair dinner featuring Baja shrimp tacos, zarandeado fish, roasted pork rib, and fresh guacamole.

Mariachis filled the space as papel picado danced overhead. Zarapes draped each chair. A traditional piñata moment brought laughter and nostalgia. It wasn’t just a welcome dinner — it was cultural immersion.

For destination weddings, this first night sets the tone: give your guests a story before the wedding even begins.

Day 2: Intimate Welcome Dinner at La Loma

The second evening shifted into elegance at Restaurante La Loma, Casa Cuixmala. Disco balls reflected candlelight, white floral arrangements by Vasija Floral softened the architecture, and guests gathered around curved table layouts designed to encourage connection.

The menu was refined yet rooted in local flavor: crab soup, grilled shrimp, braised pork rib, garlic mojo fish, seasonal vegetables from the orchard. Speeches flowed naturally, and the atmosphere felt intimate and warm.

Luxury isn’t about excess — it’s about intentional transitions. From vibrant to refined, this wedding weekend unfolded with rhythm.

Wedding Day: Ceremony at Casa Cuixmala & Reception on the Beach

The ceremony took place in front of Cuixmala’s iconic dome, framed by natural bougainvillea gardens designed to look as if they had grown there for years. Petal-lined aisles, live cello and violin, ocean breeze — every detail elevated the moment without overpowering it.

Cocktail hour by the pool introduced signature drinks: Mezcal Mule, lime margaritas with Tajín rim, champagne — while canapés circulated as the sun slowly descended.

Then came the reception on the beach.

A sand platform transformed into a candlelit dining space with gold cutlery, terracotta florals, white linens and tiki torches illuminating the night. Dinner included scallop aguachile, roasted organic chicken, zarandeado fish and mushroom risotto, followed by dancing under the stars.

The first dance began — and during the spin, a petal cannon moment exploded above them.

Fireworks lit the Pacific sky.

This is what a luxury destination wedding in Mexico looks like when it is designed with intention.
